June 8, 2009, egg number three. The newest one is on the bottom. You can see that the texture is different from the other two.
June 10, 2009. Mama was on her nest all day yesterday. She probably laid the fourth egg yesterday, but because she started incubating, and because of bad weather, this morning was the first chance I got to see the fourth egg.
Michael moved the deck umbrella over the nest so it would be protected from the rain.

June 21, 2009, Father's Day at 5:30 AM. The last of the four eggs hatched. Mama wasn't happy with me taking pictures. She had been out collecting breakfast. She flew over my head to tell me to stop bothering the children.
June 21, 2009, 11:30 AM. Where do the shells go? My Mama, told me that the mama bird takes the shells away so they don't attract snakes or other animals. And people say animals are stupid - - ha!
I think it was the Daddy bird who sat on a tree branch close to the nest while I took pictures. I tried to do it really fast. He didn't seem to mind. Mama must have been out looking for lunch.
